July Aquinas
5 quads ran at the July edition of the Aquinas tournament in Grand Rapids. Section winners were Andy Catlin; Allen Wickering; Bill Ignasiak; a four-way(!) tie among Caleb Bowman, Kerry Price, Andrew Schremser, and Leah Ziegler; and Joshua Vander Meulen.
Before the Bell. Some of the 22 players catch up in the hallway before Round 1. A lot of West Michigan chess players are hoping to take part in the Michigan Open in Cadillac over Labor Day weekend.
